Questions and Answers

Frequently asked questions about this tool.

What is the intention of models & samplers?

There are 14 described on https://invoke-ai.github.io/InvokeAI/installation/050_INSTALLING_MODELS/#base-models. Bat 2.3.1 has 19 models.

Is there a way to activate Face Restore in Unified Canvas mode?

You'd have to save it to the gallery, then run face restoration from there. It's really not needed, though. You can get MUCH better faces than with GFPGAN or Codeformer by putting a tight bounding box around the face (so that it activates the scaling features to generate at a higher resolution), masking the face, and generating at about 30-40% strength.

How to add models weights that are not in .ckpt format?

This will be the preferred format in 2.3. Until then, you can use this method to convert: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_e5ymV4zY3w
